Although I had taken a few shots of my baby boy when he was born, this session was really the first time I had really been full swing behind my camera and it was so much fun.  Of course "Miss Lady" here nailed every pose I asked her to do and just made everything way too easy peasy:-)  Thank you MD!
I have so many favorites I just didn't know which to share... but here are quite a few, enjoy!
*Shot on private location.

Meghan and her mom were so unbelievably sweet and I had a great time, (even though I was sick, stepped through a rotted wood floor and accidentally left my extra memory cards behind at our first location (yikes!).  Thanks ladies for hanging tough with me, y'all made my day!

I had the best time photographing this beautiful girl.  She was up for anything; sitting in a mega swarm of mosquitos, climbing into a rotted-out tree trunk, and making obnoxious faces and sounds (which i forced her to do, lol)  She was a total trooper and never complained once... I have a feeling that lots of people enjoy being around her 'cause she's got the best sense of humor and made me giggle a ton!  It made me miss my high school BFF, i think I'll call her today:)

Thanks AB for making my job so much fun; you rocked it out!!!

Ok so I showed up at this session completely exhausted.
Hubby gone and baby girl sick and up until the wee wee hours.... I've got a ton to do before I
go to San Francisco this weekend for a photography workshop...  and it ain't gettin' done.
Let me just say that when I left this session today I was a little energized.  Why you ask?  The giggles and smiles of this gorgeous girl were infectious.  Not to mention that she and mother are the sweetest people ever!  Soooo many faboosh pics from this session so here are a few:)

When I woke up this morning, I turned on the tv to find Joel Osteen giving his always positive message.  He was talking about joy and laughter and what it does for the soul.  Of course we all know laughter is good medicine but it is just so easy to forget that and so necessary to be reminded, right?  Listening to this message just brought a smile to my face because I realized how intense I've been lately (I blame the pregnancy hormones, ha).  So, let's say it all together now, "Today, I welcome joy and laughter into my life."  Now go out there, have a great day, and laugh it up!

On another note... recently, I had the chance to hang out with the awesome Kelly Moore who took me out to shoot in bright sun.  It was a little intimidating since I usually like to shoot in lower light, but I guess it's good to step out of your comfort zone from time to time right?  I had a great time and here's what I came up with...
